As someone who spends their professional working life in the motoring environment the chances of you being at or near the scene of a road traffic crash are very high. 

As a professional approved driving instructor, and someone who people may well look to for assistance, are you confident that your first aid knowledge and skills are all that they should be? Will they stand up to the scrutiny of practical use at the scene of a crash?

If you feel a little unsure this online First Aid Awareness course will help to refresh your knowledge and to develop your essential basic first aid skills.

Designed and written by an experienced Registered General Nurse, the course consists of three sections: 

  • The Role of a First Aider
  • First Aid Treatment and Care
  • Road Traffic Crash related First Aid

This section which will help you to deal with the types of injuries most likely to be encountered or associated with road traffic crashes.

The course carries the award of appropriate levels of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Points on successful conclusion. It does not replace ‘delivered in person’ First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid courses, but provides the essential knowledge and reassurance that will allows everyone to carry out life saving first aid in those critical first moments that make the difference between life and death.

The online course can be completed in a few hours but you can take as long as you wish - dipping in and out at your convenience. Purchase will allow you to access the course and use it as a reference point for up to 12 months.

Cancellation and Refund Policy If you cancel within seven days of booking we will refund 100% of the fee paid. Thereafter cancellations will not be considered. This also includes if you have purchased the course as part of an offer or 'bundle' with other courses, including Driving Licence Expert.
We will not refund the course fee, or part of the course fee, if the candidate has already started the course.
Candidates must have a valid email address and internet access to participate in the course.
Candidates have 12 months to complete this course from the date of purchase.
If after 12 months, the course has not been completed, candidates will lose their access to the course and lose their course content. No refunds or part-refunds will be given.

Your cancellation notice must quote your name, address, DIA membership number (if applicable), the name or a description of the service and your order reference number.

Upon receiving your cancellation notice, we will contact you providing any necessary instructions, which you will be required to follow.
